As you definitely will have heard, this year’s International Expo is in Milan, so we’re once again lucky to have such a huge event so close by. Milan Expo 2015 officially opened on Friday, May 1 and is open for a whole six months, until the 31st October this year. As a result, the already huge and bustling Italian city has become even busier as over 140 countries and many international organisations show off the best of their technology, using the theme of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. Expo Milan is anticipated to attract well over 20 million visitors to its 1.1 million square metres of exhibition area, where everyone will be able to learn about, see, feel and taste the world’s best dishes, learn more about global food and gastronomic traditions, and discover how the future of food could become more sustainable for us all. If you can, do try to visit Milan between now and October to see Expo for yourself, but if you’re not able to, we’ll be visiting it ourselves very soon and will be reporting on some of the (many) exciting things on display. Until then, check out a few images of the event so far…
