Secret Santa Gift Ideas for under €20

It’s finally December, which means that it’s also Secret Santa time in offices around the world, and lots of us have to get a budget gift for a colleague who we may not even know that well. Here are ten suggestions which will go down a treat with your colleagues. Everything on the list comes in at around the €15 mark, so you won’t be breaking the bank (always important if you’re stuck getting a gift for that boring guy in finance…. again).

1. A Super! snazzy notebook

What? These little books from the Write Sketch & Super! collection are pretty, unusual and useful for the office, ticking all the boxes for a great Secret Santa gift. The notebooks come in 4 different (reversible) designs and are great quality. They’re also made by one of the most exciting up and coming Italian brands, meaning an added cool factor.

How much? €9 each, plus shipping. Delivery up to 10 days, Europe only.

Where can I get one? On Write Sketch &’s online store.

2. An awesome trompe l’oeil pencil case

What? While we’re on the subject of stationery, these pencil cases by Fakus/Jetpens are pretty much the epitome of awesome. They look 3D, but it’s all a trick! Another fab addition to any desk

How Much? $12.50 (about €12)

3. A stylish cocktail kit for after work drinks

What? You may have seen these adorable cocktail kits designed by Cody Petts previously on Feel Desain, and we’re sure they’d make a brilliant gift for a colleague. Each kit includes a recipe card, spoon and the key ingredients for a famous cocktail – just add alcohol. The design of the boxes is an added bonus, adding a touch of class to an already cool gift.

How Much? $14.95 (around €14)

Where can I get one? Online at Cocktail Kits 2 Go.

4. Containers to brighten up a lunchbreak

What? Most of us unfortunately can’t afford to eat out every day, so having a lunchbox which will make you smile is fundamental. This set of four by Happy Jackson is very cute and bound to cheer up your colleague’s lunchtime, and snacktime, at their desk.

How Much? £8.76 (around €12.50) – was £10.95.

Where can I get one? On Happy Jackson’s online shop.

5. A cheeky mug

What? “Will Design For Money” mug by Words Brand. Picked out the name of a graphic designer this year? Why not give them a fun mug to put a smile on their face while they sip their coffee at their desk? Other phrases available.

How Much? $15 (about €14), shipping from €2.90.

Where can I get one? On the Words Brand site.

6. A Rudolf-inspired headphone cable tamer

Image: This Is Ground

What? We showed you This Is Ground‘s Cord Tacos (or headphone savers, to you and me) a while back, but their festive reindeer version is a fun and handy gift for the person who has everything. This Is Ground has also made 20% of all of the taco “noses” glow, and if yours does, you can win a prize, so you may be giving your colleague a gift even better than untangled headphones.

How Much? $15 (around €14)

Where can I get one? On This Is Ground’s online store.

7. A happiness-tracking calendar.

Image: Wap-Oh

What? A calendar is an obvious and easy gift choice, but this is a new take on your usual calendar. With Wap-Oh‘s Life Calendar, for 365 days you can note how happy you were every single day. It’s not only a nice decoration when you’re done, but also a useful exercise in mindfulness, especially for anyone who works in a monotonous 9-5 office job!

How Much? €9.95

Where can I get one? On the Wap-Oh online store.

8. The ultimate guide to being an intern

What? The Intern’s Manifesto Book by Matthew Cross. If you’ve pulled out the name of the new office intern, here’s the perfect gift! This funny book teaches your new office entry how to survive in the sometimes brutal world of work.

How Much? €9.56 (was €14.69)

9. Adorable handmade earrings

What? Aren’t these wooden earrings by The Crafty Cowshed just the cutest? If you’re not sure what to get for a female colleague, cute Christmassy (but not toooo Christmassy) earrings could be just the thing. We love these little foxes, but there’s much more where this came from.

How Much? These ones are just €8.03 plus shipping, but there’s jewellery at a range of (very affordable) prices.

Where can I get one? Over on The Crafty Cowshed’s Etsy shop.

10. Minimal graphic posters

What? The Game of Thrones posters by Dean Robert Smith have featured before on Feel Desain, but his other poster designs could also be the ideal Secret Santa gift. As well as Game of Thrones, his collection includes tributes to Star Wars and The Walking Dead, and also famous cities like Paris and Amsterdam. The best thing about these posters is that they appeal to almost everyone.

How Much? £12.50 each (around €17), worldwide shipping, dispatched within 7 days.
